We’re looking for 5 Deaf individuals or groups to create BIM videos that share important information about mental health with the Deaf community.
You can start thinking of your idea – it can be a poem, drama, storytelling, or any creative format. The goal is to raise awareness and educate the community.
You are encouraged to join the mental health awareness programme organised by DAWN, so that you can learn more about mental health and develop stronger, more impactful ideas for your content.

You can choose any creative format:

🟢 Storytelling
🟢 Others – as long as it’s educational and raises awareness!
You are encouraged to join a Mental Health Awareness Programme organised by DAWN to learn more and develop impactful content.
What is the purpose?
To help Deaf people understand mental health better — in BIM.
How to participate
🔹 Step 1 – Express Your Interest
Send your name to Ms Annie Ong to reserve your slot.
🔹 Step 2 – Start Planning
Consider your video idea and check in with us to ensure you’re on the right track.
🔹 Step 3 – Create & Edit Your Video
You are responsible for producing and editing your own video. We will review your content and provide feedback, with a particular focus on ensuring the accuracy of the information.
🔹 Step 4 – Finalise & Share
Once approved, we will add the DAWN logo and official acknowledgements. The video will then be published on DAWN’s social media and website.
Timeline
- By 1 July 2025 – Express your interest
- By 1 August 2025 – Share your video idea
- By 1 September 2025 – Submit first video draft
- By 1 October 2025 – Submit the final completed video
✔️ We’ll give feedback and support at each stage.
✔️ All final videos will include proper project credits.
What you will receive?
- RM1,000 for each completed and approved 5-minute video
- Certificate of participation
- Your video promoted through DAWN platforms
